NHL 17 Predicts Canada To Win World Cup; EA Doing Sweet Giveaways During Tourney

NHL 17 Predicts Canada To Win World Cup

Yesterday, NHL 17 released the official NHL 17 World Cup of Hockey Simulation video. You can check out who NHL 17 is predicting to be crowned the champion for the first time in 12 years.

NHL 17 is also celebrating the World Cup of Hockey by giving hockey fans awesome prizes throughout the tournament to winners of the World Cup of Hockey #NHL 17 Contest, including copies of NHL 17, adidas World Cup of Hockey prize packs, and PlayStation 4 consoles with a copy of the game included.

During the tournament between September 17 and October 1, every time a goal is scored in the tournament, Tweet using the hashtag #NHL17Contest, tag a friend and tell EA who scored the goal for a chance to win awesome prizes.

We reviewed NHL 17 recently and said this:

“If you are already an owner of NHL 16, though, it is a tougher sell.  Other than the addition of the World Cup of Hockey mode, which is essentially Season mode but with the countries in the World Cup of Hockey, this is pretty much the same game as last year. It has been upgraded and polished, for sure; but whether that justifies purchasing a whole new game is questionable. Last year, I had no hesitation in recommending that you buy NHL 16. This year, as great of a game as NHL 17 is, you might want to stay on the bench for this one.”
