7 Ways to Get Rich Quick in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

3. Chef Extraordinaire

Not everyone is a skilled cook, and not everyone has the time to scour the land looking for the right ingredients to make the most delicious of dishes, but for those who just happen to be mad scientists in the kitchen (or in Link’s case, the cooking pot) sacrificing a few items into a nice stew or skewer can not only provide you with some great healing items, but end up crafting a dish worthy of a king. Selling your cooked meals is often more profitable than the sum of their parts – provided you don’t mind the extra time it takes to cook each individual dish. The nice thing about this is as you get later into the game and Link requires more heart regeneration; you will most likely be concocting all manner of dishes anyway. Why not experiment and cook off your ingredients and sell the lesser dishes that only heal a handful of hearts?

4. Hi-Ho, It’s Off To Work I Go

If archery isn’t your thing (We can’t all be fantastic marksmen) it doesn’t hurt to get a part time job in a trade – more specifically, mining. At higher elevations, Link will often come across large black stone formations to be mined either through melee attacks or well placed explosives (although said explosives will send the product you are mining flying through the air.) Sapphire, Topaz, Quartz and more stones can all be mined and sold to any merchant for quite a hefty sum of Rupees, fetching anywhere from 70 per piece to a few hundred. If you are like me and have been picking up every little item you have come across, chances are you already have a nice little stockpile in your inventory, however, heading out into the mountains with mining in mind will have you picking out every tiny deposit of minerals in the distance. Twenty minutes in the right location will surely earn you a small fortune.

5. Hero For Hire

“Sure I can do all of that,” you might say, but it’s boring. I’m not playing a Zelda game to wander around aimlessly, I need a purpose!” and how true that is. Link isn’t your run-of-the-mill adventurer; he is the epitome of what it means to be a hero! Luckily, Hyrule is dotted with all number of Hylians, Gorons, Zora, and more who need your help with everything from protecting cattle to collecting bugs. It might not be glamorous, but Link doesn’t do it for the fame – he does it for the people of Hyrule! And also the Silver Rupees Link is awarded for his services. While 100 Rupees might not seem like a lot, many quests are short and simple while the longer ones afford you opportunities to discover new weapons, gear, and shrines. Even going through your backlog of side quests is sure to render a number of easy jobs you had put off and left for later. Helping the people of Hyrule is an excellent way to line Link’s purse with plenty of Rupees.
