Season 2 of Apex Legends is Here and Introduces a Lot of New Content
The long-awaited arrival of season 2 of Apex Legends is here and shaking things up. Apex Legends is struggling to find footing in a marketplace becoming evermore crowded with battle royale games. At the end of May 2019, the company witnessed a significant drop in popularity, and consequently revenue. Therefore, it makes sense that season 2 is introducing a ton of new elements in a bid to distinguish itself.
Many of the features that season 2 introduces do not come as a surprise. The season 2 trailer for Apex Legends offered a lot of teasers for much of the new content. Notably, the appearance of dragons is one of the major features that many were predicting. The more eagle-eyed viewers were making note that the leviathans in the bay appear to be moving closer. As it turns out, the leviathans are now invading the map.
The latest patch offers a plethora of different, exciting feature to try out. There is a new character, Wattson, who is available for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens. As afroementioned, the leviathans are on-land and provide numerous changes to the digital landscape. Some changes are also affecting the characteres pre-existing characters. Fortified Legends (Gibraltar and Caustic) are now immune to slow effects from weapons.
