According to Kotaku, “four people¬†familiar with Bungie‚Äôs plans, two of whom confirmed that Bungie will announce cross-save tomorrow”. Cross-platform capabilities are becoming continually more common in the gaming industry. For example, rumours currently state that the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have cross-platform capabilities.

With regards to this update, it will be interesting to see how Bungie copes with items that are exclusive to a particular console. In April they announced a patch was being introduced to prevent Xbox One and PC users from having a weapon exclusive to PS4, It would be strange if your primary weapon was no longer available when the character is loaded on another platform.

Additionally, Destiny 2 will also be one of the first games available on Google’s new streaming platform Google Stadia. Stadia promises to allow players to load up Google Chrome on any computer and jump into the game of their choice. Google is holding a press conference tomorrow to discuss many of the features and details we can expect from Stadia.
