Nioh Video Review – Team Ninja Is Back With a Bang

Nioh Video Review

After a long wait, the much anticipated Nioh has finally arrived on the PS4. Nioh is another entry in the “Souls-like” genre. Players are thrust into the role of William, a samurai who is very loosely based on William Adams, and are tasked with conquering all sorts of nasty demons in ancient Japan. Demons aren’t the only creatures that you will encounter, as you’ll be dealing with other humans as well, and the combat presents a wide range of options for you on how to proceed.

When Rory reviewed the game he said: “There is so much more I could talk about when it comes to Nioh, though a big part of the fun and experience of Nioh is discovering things on your own. But know this; Nioh is an incredible action RPG game that should not be missed. Offering well balanced and visceral combat, engaging environments to explore, challenging bosses and well over 80 hours of exciting content to enjoy.”

In the dark, fantasy action RPG Nioh, players traverse war-torn Japan as William, a blonde-haired swordsman whose background as a fierce warrior and seasoned knowledge of the blade allows him to survive in the demon-plagued land of the samurai. Players will face off against other samurai in epic sword battles and intense, multi-target engagements offering a level of difficulty that will truly test even the most hardened samurai’s skills, patience, and strategy. The game not only incorporates iconic elements from Japanese folklore such as samurai and supernatural creatures—the game also offers the exhilaration of an authentic samurai sword fight straight from Team NINJA. The game is guaranteed to challenge players in a way that makes every mission feel earned and their accomplishments worthwhile.
