Detroit: Become Human Gameplay Footage

Quantic Dreams has been preparing the video game industry for this title for some time now, and with its release date a few short weeks away it is time everybody knew just what waits for them around the corner. Detroit: Become Human is an ambitious title, to say the least, tackling complex social issues with a powerful narrative set in a not too distant future. Ever since its announcement, PlayStation fans have been dying to get their hands on it and, thankfully, Quantic Dreams has released a demo of the Hostage mission on the PSN. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out or maybe you want to see what its all about, you can join Paul and Meagan below as they treat you to a Let’s Play of Detroit: Become Human and explore this heavy-hearted title.

Detroit: Become Human is set in the future where androids are commonplace, part of our every day lives. Sensing their own strength and individuality, their own intelligence, androids are beginning to act out against humanity and fight for independence. The game tackles serious sociological issues both on the part of the androids and the humans and asks the question what it means to be human, much like the classic Phillip K. Dick novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which was turned into the cult classic film Blade Runner.

Of course, the massive draw for the game comes in its spider-web of narrative outcomes, with each scenario having dozens of ways to play out based on your choices and actions. Detroit has a massive amount of replayability for this reason alone and will no doubt be another success for the exclusive list of PlayStation 4 titles this year.

Detroit: Become Human launches May 25th and is exclusive to the PlayStation 4. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
