Top 10 Games of Last Generation Countdown – Number 9

Erin Soares (Content Editor) – Far Cry 3

While not a fan of the multiplayer, the open world story that is Far Cry 3 is fantastic. As a game centered around violence and control, it is easy to spend hours simply exploring, hunting and taking over enemy territory. The story gets better and better over time and the graphics definitely don’t disappoint.

This generation of Zelda wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it was still a Zelda game. Using the Wii Motion+, it was the first time you needed pay careful attention how you swung your sword, no more waggling the controller. The puzzles were mechanically fun, but the game involved a lot of revisiting of the same areas, dampening the fun a bit for me.

Alex Everatt (Contributor) – Resistance: Fall of Man

One of my favorite PlayStation franchises – why there hasn’t been any new entries for PlayStation 4 is absolutely shocking to me. The alternate history storyline was just awesome, and the assortment of weapons made for some wicked firefights! The sequel, bringing the fight to 1950’s America, was also an outstanding game too.
