Attack on Titan: 6 Essential Tips To Get You Started

Attack on Titan Tips

Attack on Titan is a unique game even within it’s anime genre, as the story takes you outside a specific battleground and pits you against the chaos of the titan onslaught as you journey through the original story. Here are 6 simple, yet essential, tips to get you started on your way to be the ultimate titan destroyer!

Attack on Titan

1.) Replay Missions and Complete Survey Missions

One of the best ways to gain experience, materials and regiment funds is by replaying the previous levels. Now, if you received the highest overall score: S, the first time, replaying the previous level is a way to receive easy money and experience. If you received an A or lower, this is also an opportunity to make up the experience and money you missed out on the first time, as well as an opportunity to become a better player. By replaying the missions it is also the perfect way to practice all of the controls and movement skills. Survey missions are available after you have completed the first chapter of the game, and they allow you to gain both soldier and regiment skill, and they can unlock new items, weapons etc. These survey missions give you the advantage in the coming levels!

2.) Attack All Parts Of The Titans

While subjugation of the titans is the ultimate goal, it is best practice to attack other titan body parts as a way to acquire more materials in each mission. This is also the way to perfect your attack, speed and maneuverability early on in the game, as a way to have a bigger impact later on. Honestly, attacking the titans 5 or more times makes the game all the more enjoyable because instead of killing them in one hit, you can slowly cut each limb off before striking the fatal blow to their nape.

3.) Complete The Side Missions In Each Level

Without completing the side missions in each level it is unlikely that you will receive a high score of an A or higher. The reason for this is that Attack on Titan is scored by three different items: 1) missions completed, 2) subjugations and 3) battle time. Without completing these side missions you will likely receive a low score for items one and two. Unless your aim is to complete the game as fast as possible, another benefit to completing these side missions is that they add content to Attack on Titan. Trust me, there is something oddly satisfying about completing all of the missions quickly, while killing all titans in each level.
