Inversus

Inversus is the coolest top-down shooter since Geometry Wars. While it sports a gorgeous black/white aesthetic, the real hook is in the game’s combo system that allows players to set off ridiculous chains of enemies. Just one shot can potentially take out a dozen foes, and it’s just as satisfying as it sounds. It’s also a fun multiplayer game, as it features cooperative and competitive online play.

Metrico+

Metrico had a lot of good ideas when it released on PlayStation Vita in 2014, but it suffered from being too gimmicky. Metrico+ totally fixes that, as this retooled version of the original puzzle game features 40 new brain teasers to solve. Whether you’ve played the first game or not, this update is worth playing.

Okhlos

Devolver Digital continues to put out stellar indie titles, and Coffee Powered Machine’s Okhlos is no exception. This strategy game has players rallying together mobs of Greek citizens in order to take down minotaurs and Olympians. It’s a really unique roguelike that also feels like a super violent version of Pikmin.
