5 Things Red Dead Redemption 2 Needs To Be Amazing

4. Player Customization

As I mentioned in the previous point, the ability for player customization was something I longed for in Red Dead Redemption. Unlike GTA, there were no barbershops, no clothing stores and no vehicle dealerships. While I certainly understand the different time and different setting, the wild west had clothing shops and barbers, so why didn’t RDR? Of course this customization is a small aspect of the game, but it would be neat to be able to buy new clothes, and change your hairstyle and facial hair. As for the dealership, I think that there should be a place to buy wagons, canoes, rafts etc. for traveling around the map. Further to this, it would be beneficial to expand this vehicle customization to include upgrading raw materials as a way to make them stronger. Being able to buy and upgrade vehicles to travel across the land would let players spend their hard earned money on something that would greatly change the game.

5. A More Interactive Map

An interactive map will impact the rest of the game in a way that was lacking in Red Dead Redemption, making this last point a no brainer for Rockstar. Including the ability to swim and walk through water, as well as the ability to keep your wagons at your home would make the game and travel that much easier. Without a doubt, it was inherently frustrating to fall into water during a mission, only to die and be forced to restart from the previous checkpoint. It would definitely be interesting to see how Rockstar would incorporate swimming into the game as a means to escape the authority, to catch fish and to cut travel time in half. Overall, having a more interactive map would change the way some people play the game, and hopefully this would make it even more fun to play!

While there is no doubt in my mind that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be an awesome game, here’s to hoping that Rockstar will include at least of few of these as a way to make it even better!
