3 Up, 3 Down – The Best (And Worst) Games From July 2016

The Worst

Ghostbusters

Bustin’ never felt so horrible! What a massive missed opportunity. This game should have been so much better but instead we got an ugly movie-based game that lacked any substance. Ghostbusters severely lacked in the fun department with its repetitive gameplay and bland characters. We encourage you to avoid this one at all costs as it is easily our worst game from July 2016, maybe the worst of the year.

MilitAnt

We hate to beat up on indie games, we really do but MilitAnt stunk. With so much potential in the premise, it’s a shame MilitAnt didn’t deliver where it counts and that is in the gameplay department. Annoying A.I. and frustrating combat mechanics make for a tough recommendation even for the biggest fans of action platformers.

Resident Evil 5

It was so disheartening to see Resident Evil 5 get such a bare bones release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Capcom has shown in the past that they can improve flawed releases, but this port doesn’t improve on the original, at all. Instead, players are left with a heavily frustrating game that doesn’t deliver satisfying action. Resident Evil 5 had its time to shine in 2009, but even rose tinted glasses can’t save this game in 2016.
