Dead Cells Gets Adorable Animated Trailer Ahead of Full Release

Indie Darling Dead Cells Leaves Early Access Next Week

Dead Cells, the indie-platformer that’s been winning over the hearts of souls-like and retro-sidescroller fans for the past year, has received an interesting and short animated trailer less than a week before it’s official release.

The animation sees the player character going through the motions as one in any souls-like RPG does, with great trial and error (mostly error). Unfortunately it doesn’t show off any of the game’s insanely gorgeous animation, but it’s still a nice little hint of flavor for those who have stuck with it through its days in Early Access.

Dead Cells made it onto Mac and Linux just this past June, and the console versions were announced this past January. Last month, developer Motion Twin announced a physical Signature Edition to accompany the game’s full release.

Be sure to check out our preview of Dead Cells before it drops this coming Tuesday, August 7th, on Mac, Linux, PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
