Monster Hunter World, Final Fantasy XIV Crossover Dated

Behemoth Brings a Few Friends to Monster Hunter World

At E3 this year, Square Enix announced a collaborative event in which the developers MMO Final Fantasy XIV and Capcom’s massively successful Monster Hunter World would swap monsters, allowing players of each game to take on beasts from the other’s. Shortly thereafter, details were revealed including the monsters that would be participating in the event, and now we finally have a release date for the Monster Hunter World portion of the event.

Final Fantasy’s legendary Behemoth will be making it’s way to the New World of Astera on August 1st, bringing craftable Dragoon armor and new weapons with it. The series’ iconic Moogles and Cactuar will also be coming to Monster Hunter World to help hunters take on the mighty beasts of Astera, and Aetheryte crystals will be making monsters native to the New World larger and more dangerous.

Oh, also there’s an adorable Behemoth skin for Poogie. Bless that pig.

In the meantime, Monster Hunter World is about to begin its Summer Twilight Fest event, and a release date has finally been announced for the PC version of the game. A new Monster Hunter 3D animated special was announced yesterday as well.

Monster Hunter World is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One.

Happy Hunting!
