If you’re all about digital games, you’re in luck because the digital version of Dead Cells will launch ten whole days earlier than the physical editions of the game. That’s right, the digital version is set to launch in less than a month’s time on August 7th. for $24.99 USD and if you’re looking to save a bit of money, the console version of Dead Cells includes a pre-order discount of 20% off. Pre-orders go live on Wednesday July 18th but don’t wait too long to pick it up though, as the discount disappears as soon as it launches! At launch, Dead Cells will include:

  • 13 Levels – Each one with its own atmosphere, foes and secrets to discover.
  • 4 Bosses – Made by the most sadistic of the devs, raised on the salt of the testers.
  • 80 or so weapons and skills – Spears, swords, bows, freeze blast, etc.
  • 4 special powers, unlocking new areas and paths (metroidvania gear lock items).
  • 1 Daily Run Mode Complete with leaderboards for lording it over your mates (PC version only).

And if you’re new to Dead Cells, here’s a description straight from the developer, “Dead Cells is a Roguevania action-platformer, allowing you to explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle… assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers. To finish the game, you’ll have to master fluid, fast-paced combat with the ever-present threat of permadeath looming. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.” Check out the action below in a brand new announcement trailer.
