Celebrate July 4th with Call of Duty: WW2’s ‘Liberty Strike’ Event

This Call of Duty: WW2 Event Is Packed with Patriotism!

Today is July 4th and what better way to show how much you love America then to sit down on the couch and play videogames? Announced on Monday, Call of Duty: WW2’s “Liberty Strike” community event introduces new weapons, a new division, new gear, new opportunities to gain more XP and a new community challenge.

The four new weapons are the ZK-383 submachine gun, the suppressed De Lisle sniper rifle, the AVS-36 assault rifle and the powerful push knife. The new division that’s been added is the Calvary division. This division has a bullet-resistant shield and is available to play for free for all players. As for the new gear, it’s a bunch of stylized patriotic clothing for the multiple divisions and nationalities already included in the game. You can see how some of the new gear looks in the image posted below!

The community event also adds a new game mode called “Wanderlust Mosh Pit”. In this mode, every player starts with a random weapon and attachment and if the player switches their weapon then they get another randomized weapon. However, this new mode (along with special weapon variants for the new weapons) will only be available until July 24th, which is when the community event ends.

There’s also a community challenge where Call of Duty: WW2 players have to win 260 million matches before the event ends. Participants in the challenge will be able to use Liberty Strike gear in multiplayer after the event ends on the 24th.
