Not only that, they are set to take part in this year’s Pride parade, which takes place in San Francisco from June 23 to 24.

“Every year, San Francisco hosts one of the oldest and largest Pride parades in the US,” the Twitch team wrote in a blog post. “As SF is the home of Twitch, you can bet we’ll be there in full force. We’ll share highlights from SF Pride on Twitch’s social media, so stay tuned on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Once Pride Month wraps up, we’ll put together a video with info about how much money you raised for HRC, footage from the parade, and more.”

The company also partnered with nonprofit It Gets Better to create a video (which can viewed on the their blog) of the staff’s coming out stories.

“Twitch is a place where everyone can be themselves, and this June, we’re standing with all of our LGBTQ+ viewers and streamers around the world to celebrate love during Pride Month,” the team wrote on the blog. “We’re highlighting LGBTQ+ creators, unveiling a bunch of new Pride shirts, taking part in the SF Pride Parade, and we’re partnering with the Human Rights Campaign® (HRC®) to raise money for equality.”

“Our community is strongest and our creators make the best content when everyone on Twitch feels like they belong and can be themselves,” said Brittany Brown, the community campaign manager. “Since diversity and inclusivity are core principles of Twitch, we have planned an entire month of events and fundraisers dedicated to promoting and maintaining these values.”
