Resident Evil 2 Remake Gets First Trailer, Release Date

Save Raccoon City All Over Again in the Resident Evil 2 Remake

Sony and Capcom teamed up to surprise and scare the crap out of everyone at E3 this year by showing off the first trailer for the Resident Evil 2 remake, and even threw in a release date!

The trailer begins from the perspective of a rat before it gets crushed by a falling shelf and the camera shows a zombie devouring the throat of an officer, before everyone’s favorite Leon Kennedy bursts through the door and shoots it in the head. It then switches to a mix of gameplay and cutscenes featuring Leon and Claire, showing the classic survival horror title in full glorious HD and the over-the-shoulder camera perspective the series adopted with Resident Evil 4.
