Memories of Celceta Getting a PC Port Next Month

With Uncapped Framerates, No Less

The Ys series has had a rich history (Lacrimosa of Dana notwithstanding) of exceptional PC ports. The latest title to earn these accolades will be Ys: Memories of Celceta, which is arriving on PC at the end of July. If you’ve been looking add yet another Ys title to your PC collection then this will be one to keep an eye on.

Ys: Memories of Celceta

I say ‘you’ but really it’s me who should be keeping an eye on this one. I pretty much wrote off the series (like a fool would) after playing the first two terrible titles way back in the day. Even after an endless succession of screenshots, I remained unconvinced of the series’ exceptional caliber. It was only after playing Ys VII recently that I changed my tune.

Memories of Celceta looks like another excellent addition to the Ys PC library, with customizable controls, uncapped framerates and mouse support. I’ll admit it never even occurred to me that mouse and keyboard would be a viable option for these games. This latest addtion to the Ys saga will be out on Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle on July 25th, 2018. Meanwhile, you can check out the trailer below for additional details and/or hype.
