H1Z1 Has Over 10 Million Players Playing on PS4

The Free-To-Play Battle Royale Game Appears To Have a Growing Player Base

Last month, H1Z1 had over 4.5 million players playing its open beta on PS4 and on Thursday it was announced that the game’s PS4 player base had grown even larger at over 10 million players.

A new update for H1Z1 was also announced and it adds a revival system to the game along with a new weapon mechanic: an airstrike that can be called in with a smoke flare signal. The update also brings aim acceleration adjustments.

Additionally, in order to further celebrate this milestone, H1Z1 developers Daybreak Games have decided to award players who’ve downloaded the free open beta with a Darkfire Pickup Truck and a Sunrise Parachute skin. If you’re a player who logged into the game before 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on June 27th then these items should appear in your inventory this weekend.

If you’re interested in downloading the open beta then we posted an article late last month that detailed the upsides and the downsides of H1Z1 on PS4.

What is your opinion of the open beta so far? What aspects of the game should the developers focus on fixing? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

H1Z1 is set to officially launch on PS4 later this year.
