Looks Like Bayonetta 3 Isn’t The Only Game They’ve Been Working On
Babylon’s Fall, a new IP from action game developer PlatinumGames, got a brief but intriguing teaser trailer at Square Enix’s E3 2018 showcase on Monday. You can view it below!
Aside from having a 2019 release window and only being available for the PS4 & Steam, not much else is known about this new title. Given PlatinumGames’ history of developing character-action games such as Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and NieR: Automata, one could reasonably assume that Babylon’s Fall will be yet another one of their entries in that genre.
Of course, we currently don’t know for sure and PlatinumGames could be doing something new with this game. After all, it’s not unheard of for developers to delve into genres they’ve never made games for in order to mix things up. For example, Creative Assembly was mainly known for its RTS series Total War until they released the first-person survival horror game Alien: Isolation in 2014.
What did you think of this trailer? Did it get you interested in knowing more about Babylon’s Fall or are you unimpressed so far? How excited are you for this new IP from PlatinumGames? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
