Dragon Ball FighterZ Releasing on the Switch in Japan This Fall

One of the Best Fighting Games of the Year Will Be Launching on the Switch Pretty Soon!

A Nintendo Switch port of Dragon Ball FighterZ was announced last week during Nintendo’s E3 showcase and recently a specific date has been given for its release in Japan: September 27th.

The port will have some new features such as an “Extreme Type” control scheme which will allow players to pull off complex moves more easily and there will also be a bundled download code for Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden, a Super Nintendo fighting game. Also, if the port is pre-ordered then players will also be able to play as the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) versions of Goku and Vegeta.

Switch players are also going to receive a special card for the Dragon Ball Z card game, Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

We reviewed Dragon Ball FighterZ back in January and gave it a score of 85 out of 100. “Not only is the game simply a tight, pick up and play fighter, but it is one that does the source material of Dragon Ball justice,” our reviewer wrote. “While more characters would have been nice to have, most of the household names of the series are included. Dragon Ball FighterZ is a solid fighting game with a plethora of game modes, and I cannot wait to see the game evolve after launch.”
