Arena of Valor Two-Week Closed Beta Test Coming Soon to Switch

Complete a Survey to Get In on Arena of Valor Early

The incredibly popular mobile MOBA, Arena of Valor, may not have a concrete release date for the Nintendo Switch, but that doesn’t mean eager fans won’t be able to get their hands on it early.

Publisher Tencent Games announced a two-week closed beta test for the Nintendo Switch version coming sometime this summer. The dates are still yet to be confirmed but it will be available to North American and European players only. Interested participants can enter a raffle for a chance to win a code to the beta by completing a survey.

This wouldn’t be the first time Switch owners have been given a chance to beta test the game. European gamers were gifted a one-day beta session back in January of this year. Since this upcoming beta test will last much longer — while also expanding the amount of players — it’s probably a good indicator that the online battler will launch on Switch sooner rather than later.

Arena of Valor has been a huge success on iOS and Android smartphones. Its numbers saw a massive spike when it debuted in North America in December 2017. The game has over 200 million registered players and reportedly hits over 80 million active users a day. It also generated $1.9 billion in 2017.

Expanding into the console space would certainly do wonders for the game not only in growing its player count, but also reaching out to an audience that may not be familiar with the genre.
