Vampyr Has Gone Gold; Prepare for a Deep, Bloodsucking Story

Dontnod Is Now Ready to Deliver

Vampyr, from Life is Strange developer Dontnod, has finally gone Gold. The gameplay experience from Focus Home Interactive is now ready to ship; good news since the game had already been delayed. Fans of the developer’s in-depth storytelling can now look forward to it next month.

Missed at E3 Vampyr

Announced via Twitter, now that the game is ready for shipping, all fans have to do is wait for its release on June 5th. Since the game’s announcement over a year ago, Donntnod has brought us reveal after reveal detailing Vampyr’s story and gameplay mechanics. Per the studio’s forte, the game will rely on meaningful player choices that affect the course of the story and the semi-open world. To that effect, recently revealed, there will only be one save slot. Everything you do will have a permanent impact, a feature made all the more prominent since NPCs exude unique personalities and can shape the campaign.

Part of the charm of Vampyr is the interactions; again, these are affected by your choices and the permadeath of NPCs. As the developer has previously stated, players will be placed in circumstances that require tough decisions. The entire makeup of your playthrough may shift with a single irreversible action. But, for a little more insight on the robust gameplay, check out our preview analysis.

Vampyr is coming for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
