Ubisoft has confirmed that a closed beta for their upcoming open-world driving game, The Crew 2, will be conducted later this month. The closed beta will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is set to begin on Thursday, May 31st and finish on Monday, June 4th.

For those who are interested in getting beta access, Ubisoft is accepting signups at the game’s official website. As with most betas, signing up early is recommended since space usually tends to be fairly limited. Ubisoft has also confirmed that beta participants will be able to preload the build two days prior on May 29th so that they can immediately start playing when servers go live. The download is approximately 30 GB’s.

According to Ubisoft, the beta comprises a “work-in-progress chunk” of The Crew 2. It will allow players to explore the entire open-world in Freedrive mode while also testing out four disciplines: Street Racing, Powerboat, Rally Raid, and Aerobatics. Also supported is co-op play amongst beta players to try out. The beta will also offer enhanced features for those playing on a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.

Ubisoft has also announced that all closed beta participants will unlock an exclusive leather jacket item for the final game when it launches on June 29th. As expected, progression made in the beta will not carry over to the final game.
