Rainbow Six Siege Free-To-Play Weekend Is Coming With a Discount

Experience the Siege Before the Next DLC Drop

Every now and again, publisher/developer Ubisoft offers gamers the opportunity to test their latest build for a Games-as-a-Service IP. They are back to announce their free weekend event for Rainbow Six Siege. You, alongside anyone else you know, can join 30 million players in the multiplayer shooter.

Starting May 17th, 2018, Rainbow Six Siege will be made available for free to all gamers with online accessibility. For no cost, whatsoever, you can hop into the experience regardless of platform. The game will be available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Windows via UPlay.

Players who enjoy their time with the game will receive leeway in any purchases. According to a press release, Ubisoft will offer copies of the game—Standard, Advanced, Gold, Complete Edition—at up to 50% off. Moreover, any and all progress made during the trial period will carry over. Specific times are as follows: May 17th-21st, discounts apply to PC; May 17th-28th, Rainbow Six Siege will be discounted on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace.

There’s more, however, coming to Rainbow Six: Siege. During the free-to-play weekend, Ubisoft will drop new information on the “Operation Para Bellum” DLC featuring two new Italian operatives. Operators Maestro and Alibi will join the roster alongside an all-new map, The Villa. Furthermore, new features and improvements are being introduced. For example, we shall see the debut of the “Pick & Ban” feature. Expect updates between May 19th-20th, during the Pro League Finals in Atlantic City.
