Ubisoft May Have Just Unveiled Potential Far Cry 6 Locations

Far Cry 6 Potential Locations May Have Just Been Revealed

While it may be just over a month since the latest and greatest of the Far Cry franchise has launched, you may be wondering what the future holds for the franchise. Well it seems Ubisoft may have just unveiled some of the potential locations for Far Cry 6!

Far Cry 5 Top (1280x720)

The first Far Cry title took us to Micronesia, Far Cry 2 brought us to Africa and then Far Cry 3 took players to a group of unmarked islands in the Pacific Ocean. Far Cry 4 followed with adventures in the Himalayas and of course, Far Cry 5 has taken us to the USA in Hope County, Montana. So where will Far Cry 6 take us? Considering Far Cry 5 is the fastest-selling game in the series history, it’s seems that Ubisoft is already planning Far Cry 6, and they’re probably even looking into making Far Cry 7 and 8.

In fact, Ubisoft may have just revealed where the future games could take us. The company recently sent out a survey asking fans on Reddit which three places they’d like to see a future Far Cry game take place. If you recall, Ubisoft has done this before, back in 2015, they asked a select group of players the same thing. Many of the same locations listed this time around were also present in that survey as well including:

  • A Far Cry game in remote Alaska about surviving extreme wilderness
  • A Far Cry game in a futuristic, sci-fi setting on another planet
  • A Far Cry game set in the Vietnam war during the 1960s
  • A Far Cry game set in the cocaine trafficking jungles of Peru
  • A Far Cry game set in a Mad Max style post-apocalyptic world
  • A Far Cry game based on the world of Shangri-La from Far Cry 4

In addition to scrapping some older pitches, and coming up with new ones, there are some new locations on the list. You can check these out below, as well as a screenshot at the bottom of the post.

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Northern Canadian Territories
  • Russia
  • Cuba
  • North Korea

Considering just how flexible the Far Cry series is, it’s easy to see the next setting being any one of these. At this point it’s not confirmed whether these locations are actually for Far Cry 6, or whether they’ll be used as future installments or DLC content. Only time will tell what Ubisoft will decide to do with the information from the survey.

What do you think? Where would like to see Far Cry 6 located? Let us know in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
