Limited Edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro Potentially Leaked

But Is It Real? Too Early to Tell

The upcoming Spider-Man game developed by Insomniac Games might be getting a PS4 Pro bundle just like God of War, judging by a leaked image of a collector’s edition of the system. The image below has been making the rounds on social media sites like Reddit and Twitter, showing off the console’s customized design. Of course, there’s a chance this will be proven to be a fake.

The logo and game font appear to be old, which could be a sign that this is just an old promotional image. But an image for God of War’s PS4 Pro bundle was also leaked, and that was the real deal.

To date, Sony hasn’t officially confirmed a Spider-Man bundle, but has released similar bundles for numerous for first-party published games.

The upcoming open-world Spider-Man is going to focus on giving players a detailed world that feels like a living, breathing New York City in the Marvel Universe. The team says that the game will put players in situations where they can choose to interact with and help civilians as they go about their lives.

“It’s certain scenarios we’ve put him in, certain abilities he’ll do during combat to prevent people from dying,” said creative director Bryan Intihar. “So whether it’s about deciding where stuff gets placed or how it unfolds, Spider-Man’s not gonna be killing people. That’s not the game we want to make.”

“We don’t want you to feel like you’re beating up guys just for the sake of beating up guys,” he added. “We do have scenarios where there aren’t civilians around, but we also want to push the feeling of being a hero in New York City. Spider-Man is its protector. Whether someone’s calling him a menace or not, he feels responsible for it.”

The game also won’t let players kill anyone and will be a strictly single-player experience, both of which are unique moves for a game in today’s industry.

Spider-Man is set for launch on September 4 for the PS4.
