‘God of War’ Is Getting a Photo Mode, Larger In-Game Text and Bug Fixes

God of War’s Menus Might Finally Be Readable!

God of War, a third-person action-adventure game about a demi-god and his son going on a boat/road trip, is going to be updated with a feature that fans have been clamoring for since its release: readable in-game text!

There’s also going to be photo mode along with several bug fixes but the most important thing here is that soon we’ll no longer have to get up from our couches, bend over and squint in order to read all those menus and subtitles!

“With the global release of God of War, it has been great to watch and hear from our players,” an official blog post began. “We wanted to take a moment to highlight things we’re planning to address in upcoming patches.”

“We will be debuting Photo Mode and introducing a global increase to text size in all menus and subtitles. We’re also planning an additional controller option to remap Rage Mode,” the post continued.

The post also mentioned that the game’s developers, Santa Monica Studio, also plan on fixing a significant bug that causes in-game dialogue to go missing and possibly stops players from being able to progress in the game whenever players start a “New Game” without closing the God of War application. In order to avoid this bug, the post recommends closing the application first before starting a new adventure.

If you’re still not sure about plopping down $60 for the new God of War then you can read our review of it here.
