Three New Armor Packs Are Now Available for Download
Well into post-launch, the devs behind the Dystopian action-RPG, the Surge, have decided to deliver additional content. At no cost, players can download the latest ‘Cutting Edge’ DLC which brings three new armor packs into the game.
Despite no obligation, developer Deck 13 went ahead and created some additional rewards for The Surge playerbase. Upon entering the game, you will find 3 new weapons, 3 new jumpsuits, and 3 new armor sets each of which bestows a unique bonus. Read about each armor set below, all of which are available today for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
- The ANGEL was originally designed for operation in the harsh vacuum of space, some of the most inhospitable conditions known to man, and bestows faster attack speeds, better energy gain, and harder impacts on CODENAME weapons.

- The NANO WARD gear uses bleeding edge technology to give your blocks some serious explosive power – if you can time them right.
Then, we have three new weapons from CREO. Here are the devastating machine mashers you can discover throughout the world.
- The Experiment 44H, known as the Dark Star, never saw full production due to the madness of its creator, leading to him to sabotage the whole project before more than one prototype could be made. Its unique containment field will wreak havoc on enemies.
- The Engelhart is a boost tool that uses state-of-the-art technology to become searing hot anytime, anywhere. As potentially dangerous to the wielder as their enemies, it requires skill and practice to use effectively.
- The BioN J-1, codenamed Last Aid, is quite literally a surgical tool, originally designed for use in medical hospitals. After an unfortunate incident with a rogue doctor, it became known as a tool of carnage.
However, free content in The Surge isn’t limited to gear. According to a press release, players will find six new enemies in the following areas: Abandoned Production, Executive Forum, and Nucleus. Each must be defeated to acquire the new items. And if you’ve yet to purchase The Surge, there’s never been a better opportunity.
