A Perfect Match of Pixels and Dark Souls Revealed in ‘Dark Devotion’

Dark Devotion Is a New Indie Action-RPG With Dynamic Gameplay

Indie game publisher The Arcade Crew has unveiled their new action RPG inspired by the dark side of faith. Presenting Dark Devotion, a side-scrolling adventure with swords, sorcery, and seemingly relentless boss battles.

We seldom get a pixelated IP that looks like its worth booting, but developer Hibernian Workshop has arrived with a compelling new take. Dark Devotion cements players in a dark and immersive world full of mystic beings and savage enemies. Players can alternate between different skill sets by finding and equipping the different weapons. As you can imagine, this lets anyone find their preferred playstyle. Even better, special abilities in the form of prayers, blessings, and curses offer greater replayability, allowing the mixing and matching of magic and weapon combos. You can discover the first ever gameplay footage below.

The eternal suffering of The Templars is both a blessing and a curse – salvation is born through sacrifice, and no sacrifice is too great to praise your God. A mystical temple teeming with a strange life-like energy of its own awaits you on your sacred crusade of suffering and redemption that will take you to the depths of traditions spanning centuries – and leave you questioning your faith and your own existence.

Dark Devotion will make its debut and be available to play at PAX East. Expect the Action RPG to arrive for PC and consoles later this year.
