Twitch Streamer Is Sea of Thieves’ First Pirate Legend

Prod1gyX Opened Up Sea of Thieves’s Secret Quest

Less than two weeks since the release of Sea of Thieves, a Twitch streamer has reached “Pirate Legend” status and opened up the post-game content that other players have not yet seen. The streamer, Prod1gyX, has been broadcasting his high seas sails and journey toward Pirate Legend, which means he has hit the level cap of 50 for all of the game’s pirate factions.

The status is said to open up a secret quest, as well as additional secrets. Sea of Thieves producer Joe Neate said the following about reaching the “Pirate Legend” status:

“Becoming a Pirate Legend is really just the start for players, and is the jumping off point for how we plan to grow and evolve the game,” he said. “As we look to grow Sea Of Thieves beyond launch, we have clear plans for how we want to grow and evolve the experience, but we also want to listen to community feedback about what they’re most keen to see. We want to continue to give players new goals to achieve, new rewards to earn, and enrich the game experience and the world.”

Some players have voiced concern’s about the game’s lack of cosmetic item’s and total content.

“Sea of Thieves is designed from the ground up to be a game that grows and evolves, and we will release new cosmetic options ongoing as part of that, alongside new mechanics and ways to play,” said Neate. “Our focus for launch is on delivering a great initial experience, and as we move beyond launch we will be assessing and reacting to player feedback across all areas of the game. We have worked with our community throughout the development of Sea of Thieves, and that will continue in exactly the same manner beyond launch.”

It looks like we’ll soon know whether Rare has delivered on their promises.
