New Assassin’s Creed Origins Update Details Revealed

The Update Includes Support for the Upcoming DLC

An update for Assassin’s Creed Origins was released on Tuesday. It adds several new features along with many changes and fixes for the game. It also adds support for the upcoming The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC which is set to come out next Tuesday on March 13th. The expansion will cost $19.99 for those who haven’t purchased the game’s season pass.

The update also adds a secret reward for those who complete all 75 guided tours for the game’s Discovery Tour mode. The educational mode is basically a combat-free version of the base game that is meant to teach players about the history and culture of Ancient Egypt, the pyramids, the role Romans played in Egypt at the time and more. The mode is free to download for those who already own the game but it can be purchased separately for $19.99.

The anticipated DLC, Curse of the Pharaohs, features the game’s protagonist, Bayek, traveling to the ancient city of Thebes and the Valley of Kings in order to investigate mysterious happenings that have been occurring in the area. The DLC takes place four years after the events of the main game and increases the level cap to level 55 along with adding new gear, new outfits and a new mount.

Players can also “boost” their save games which will create a file where Bayek is level 45. This will allow low level players to play the DLC right away without having to play for hours & hours before reaching the recommended level which is, presumably, in the 40s.
