Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Officially Announced with Release Date

Here’s Your next Call of Duty Game

For gamers who have been waiting with baited breath for the next Call of Duty, which sources confirmed to be Black Ops 4, Activision has finally unveiled the logo and release date. As expected, Treyarch is up to bat, and they’ve got plenty to show us pretty soon. Before E3, in fact.

Revealed in a press release, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will arrive on Friday, October 12, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Before that time, anyone can tune into a special community reveal hosted by developers. The folks over at Treyarch invite you to participate on Thursday, May 17 for what will more than likely be the first gameplay showcase.

What we know so far: developers are opting away from futuristic settings in Call of Duty. Therefore, we can probably expect an iteration set in the modern day or before. It will be interesting to see what features change and return from Treyarch’s last project, Call of Duty Black Ops III. One guarantee, however, is that there will be another zombie mode. Personally, I wish they’d go back to alien mode. That’s just one man’s opinion though.

Following the event on May 17, we can expect additional announcements at E3 2018. Per usual, expect them during the PlayStation showcase. Until then and beyond, stay tuned for updates.

Happy gaming.
