PUBG Community on Xbox One Has Already Grown Over 3 Million People

More Updates Are On Their Way to PUBG

Since its debut on December 12th, PUBG on Xbox One has already grown to over three million players, announced Xbox in a blog post.

“It’s been awesome to see the excitement and passion on display from the Xbox community,” wrote Aaron Greenberg, Xbox GM of Games Marketing. “Whether you’re streaming in the HypeZone on Mixer or battling for a chicken dinner with your squad, players on Xbox are helping build and improve the game on console.”

While its performance has been called into question on Xbox One from fans, the team at PUBG Corp. has already released four updates since its launch to help improve the experience. More game-related updates are on the way too such as adding first-person support for solo, duo, and squads gameplay. Future updates will bring additional game optimization and a new map called Miramar.

Greenberg has also confirmed that a new Tips and Tricks segment designed for newbies will debut on Mixer at 3 P.M. PST on January 16th. It will provide tips on how to manage your inventory and how to take advantage of UX shortcuts and features on the Xbox One controller.

It looks like netting PUBG, aka Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has already been a massive success for the Xbox platform. So long as the developers can iron out those pesky performance bugs, we’re confident people will be playing PUBG for a very long time.

PUBG made a huge splash on PC when it came out in Steam Early Access in March 2017. Microsoft had announced at E3 last year that the game would be making its way to Xbox One through the Xbox Game Preview program.
