Over 20 Add-ons and DLC Included

Square Enix is going that extra mile with the announcement of Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition and Windows Edition. The new box copies come with over 20 add-ons and DLC. On top of previously released features, owners will gain access to never-before-seen content.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition expands the in-game map by including the Insomnia City Ruins. And with a new area to explore comes three new bosses: Cerberus, Omega, and The Rulers of Yore. Additionally, players will be able to embark on the fully controllable Royal Vessel boat. Thanks to this small feature, players will finally be able to sail the seas and explore the area between Cape Caem and Altissia. You can also fish from this vessel. But it’s not all about the exploration. Players will also gain access to abilities, the most notable of which is the “Armiger Unleashed.” After collecting all the royal arms, you’ll gain access to an accessory in a hidden part of the world that unlocks Armiger Unleashed.

By purchasing Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition, you also gain access to all released Season Pass content. That includes Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Episode Ignis, and the multiplayer Comrades expansion. Furthermore, there will be new downloadable weapons, Regalia skins, and item sets. And if you so choose, if you have the option to explore the game in first-person.

Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition will arrive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but doesn’t have a release date yet. New content arriving in the Royal Edition will be available for a standalone purchase of $19.99. Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will arrive at a later date for Windows 10, Steam, and Origin, and pre-orders will be available on February 1st.
