Sony Starts 2018 With a Bang Thanks to a Great Selection of PlayStation Plus Games

PlayStation Plus Members Are Getting the Good Stuff Next Month

A new year and a new month are just around the corner and that means a fresh helping of new and free PlayStation Plus games for Sony’s premium service. Sony has detailed what subscribers can expect for January’s games and it’s a solid way to begin 2018 if we do say so ourselves. Also, it seems the leak from a few days ago turned out to be true.

On PS4 it’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: The Telltale Series (Season 1) that leads the pack. The former is the sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution and continues the story of Adam Jensen in the year 2029 following the “Aug Incident.”

Telltale’s Batman Series doesn’t stray from the standard Telltale formula but its approach to telling a unique Batman story across five episodes is worth checking out. The game is noteworthy for putting the focus onto Bruce Wayne instead of the Caped Crusader. Don’t worry, you’ll still get to bash numerous heads in as Batman but don’t expect similar gameplay to the Arkham series.

On the ageing PS3, the two games are Sacred 3 and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Finally, Vita owners can download Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness and Uncanny Valley. As is the case with most Vita games, both titles are cross-buy with PS4 as well.

But wait, there’s one more! Sony is throwing in the PS VR space combat action game, Starblood Arena, for free as a bonus starting January 2nd to March 6th. Even if you don’t own Sony’s headset, it’s worth redeeming it for when you do.
