Death Stranding Is A Lot Further Along In Development Than We All Think

More Surprises Are Expected From Death Stranding in 2018

Anyone who has followed the development of any one of Hideo Kojima’s games knows how painstakingly long it can be. That’s why the below slice of info is a bit of shock to hear. Speaking in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation for a “Creator Interviews” feature, Kojima himself remarks on how quickly Death Stranding is coming along and how it has surprised Sony higher-ups.

Kojima said: “Development on Death Stranding is going well enough that SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) told us, ‘We have never before seen a game being created at such a fast pace.’ We are planning an announcement that will further surprise everyone in 2018.”

This leads us to believe that Death Stranding may be further along in development than we expect. It has made an appearance at various gaming events and conferences like this years’ 2017 Game Awards with a mysterious and lengthy trailer that blew everyone away. Previous trailers have introduced various characters that will be played and performed by Norman Reedus, Guillermo Del Toro, and Mads Mikkelsen in confusing but intriguing scenarios.
