Microsoft will be celebrating the launch of their newest console for North Americans in New York, hosting it on Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, and Youtube Live on November 6th at 8 PM PST/ 11 PM EST. Considering pre-orders will be available for pick up one hour later, this is how long the event will last. According to Microsoft, giveaways and gameplay demos will also be hosted at their official stores across North America, where you will be able to pick up the pre-orders at 9 PM PST/ Midnight EST. As with previous console launches, GameStop and Best Buy locations will also do the same.

Now, North Americans won’t be the only ones celebrating midnight launches, as these will take place in Australia and New Zealand as well. With that said, there are more launch events that will be hosted in Europe and the UK too. You can check out a few of the examples of what you can expect below:

  • Germany: On November 6, fans in Germany will be able to attend a gaming event hosted by PietSmiet, LefLoid, Gronkh and Ninotaku on Berlin’s largest 4K theater screen for 700 fans. The event will be also streamed on Mixer.
  • France: On November 6, fans are invited to tune into a seven-hour non-stop livestream on mixer.com/xbox hosted by one of France’s top YouTubers in central Paris. More than 200 French fans and celebrities will gather to play new titles and celebrate the launch of Xbox One X, culminating in a midnight launch event at France’s flagship store at the Champs Elysees.
  • United Kingdom: Broadcasting live from the Xbox One X Loft in London on November 6, join us for the “Countdown to Xbox One X” on Mixer and all Xbox UK channels for our extended livestream as we count down to launch with some of our favorite games.

And what’s even better is that Aaron Greenberg mentioned that this list will be updated regularly as publishers commit to the enhancements in the future. You can check out the full list here.

The Xbox One X will launch worldwide in two short weeks, on November 7th, 2017. Are you getting excited and will you be at one of these events?

Lol, there are so many games on that list that are not even out in 2017. Isn’t it sort of a given that every future title will have XboneX enhancements? Why not just add Gears of War 5 and Halo 6 to the list too? And Forza Horizon 4, Forza 8, Forza Horizon 5 and Forza 9 while you are at it.

How many games does it actually have enhancements for at launch? About 80? So 30 more games than PS4 Pro had November 2016 (which now sits at about 270 games given how many games PS4 received in 2017 of course).

Microsoft said that it’s up to the developer if they want to use the whole power of the Xbox One X, that’s what Xbox One X Enhanced program works. But man, Forza Horizon 4, Ah yes yes yes best looking Forza Horizon.

Microsoft’s answer to a botched Xbox One launch is to release a more powerful model for £450 without a game (over double the price of an Xbox One S with 2 games), bang on more about graphics than games, make great efforts to release games on past Xbox consoles to convince people to buy an Xbox X. Play games on an S or an X, who’s bothered? Not the masses. How many owners of old Xbox One models will buy an X? Probably not many. New converts, it’ll be a handful. I’ll never understand the fascination with graphics. We buy games to play, not to look at pretty graphics then argue over which format is the best, including comparison videos. This has to be the saddest time in gaming history.

I own the XB1, and I have an X on order. Just like I had the PS4, and purchased the Pro Day 1. Alot of people have 4K TV’s I have 2, and want to see what the best quality visuals can look like. That is who this system is targeting. 1080p gamers need not apply.

Its not even that. Its pure futile. It is simply too late in the gen for studios to build game engines from the ground up for XboneX, which they can’t do anyway because they still have to keep the achilles heel standard Xbone in the development picture.

And what sort of benefit can the console bring when just about every single major “exclusive” coming to Xbone is made on the multiplatform Unreal Engine 4 anyway.

Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2, ALL on Unreal Engine 4, even cancelled games Fable Legend and Scalebound were on it too. Even PUBG is going to be on it. All these games could basically come to Switch with the right downgrading and optimisation, Crackdown 3 would probably run on Switch with no change whatsoever lol. That doesn’t speak volumes for the console as a whole.

LMAO for a second there I misread the word “Enhanced” for “Exclusives”.
