Play as Peter Parker and… Miles Morales?
As Sony promised, Paris Games Week delivers the second half of E3 2017. The CEO wasn’t kidding when he said they were holding back because here’s the rest of Sony’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4.
Earlier this year, we got a full stack of gameplay showing what players can do with the web-slinger. Today, Sony gave us a deeper look at the story with many of the comic book characters we’ve come to know and love. See them all in the new trailer below:
Again, we see some of Fisk and Martin Lee, the villains who will factor heavily into this storyline. We have yet to see any of the other big villains; considering the dynamic roster of famous Spider-Man enemies, it would be odd if we didn’t see much more in the final product. Also, we had another chance to see Miles Morales, a character who, historically, has donned the Spidey mask in the comics. Interestingly enough, the footage also gave us an over-the-shoulder view of Mary Jane, which may be hinting at her as a playable character?
Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t been very forthcoming with the release date. While we know Spider-Man PS4 is coming in 2018, we lack a precise window. But, all bets are on a Fall launch. This just gives developer Insomniac more time to listen to player feedback and make the game the best it can be. Speaking of, what are your thoughts on the footage? Let us know in the comments below.
