Joke’s on You, Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue is Real and Out Now

Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue is NOT a Hoax

On Friday, Atlus showed an entertaining trailer for a side-scrolling action adventure featuring cute mascots Jack Frost and Jack Lantern, stars of upcoming title Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. They crushed our dreams and said this was a fake title and we would have to wait until Strange Journey Redux was out. Shin Megami Tensei: Synchonicity Prologue was a dream too far.

In a weird psych-out from Atlus, they straight up lied about the game being fake, as it appeared to be available on the PC right now. Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue can be downloaded from the Atlus website any time between now and December 24th.

Players will get to control Frost and Lantern through a platformer adventure. It appears that the game is only available in Japanese, though hopefully the controls and mechanics are simple enough that gameplay is universal. Start training now for what will ultimately be the Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux experience! Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue can be downloaded here, in case you missed it above.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux launches on Nintendo 3DS next week in Japan and comes to the Western world early 2018.
