Rocket League for Switch Finally Has a Confirmed Release Date

Fully-Featured and With Cross-Network Play!

Well, it’s about time! Psyonix has confirmed that Rocket League, their uber-popular race car/soccer/sports mashup, is finally landing on the Switch on November 14th for $19.99 USD.

Rocket League Anniversary Update

Rocket League on Switch isn’t some watered down version either, it’s the complete package running at a brisk 60 fps just like its other console and PC brethren.

The press release states that “Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will include the features, upgrades and content that millions of players worldwide have come to know and love, and will support all of the system’s various play modes.”

Switch owners will receive some exclusive goodies too, like Nintendo-themed cars based on Mario, Luigi, and Samus. In addition to playing on the go, cross-network play with PC and Xbox One players will be ready to go on day one. Take it up with Sony if you’d like to play against PS4 players…

Because Rocket League supports cross-network play, each version of the game — whether on Switch, Xbox One, PS4, or PC — has to be identical in terms of performance and modes. Cosmetic DLC is fine though since they don’t usually modify vehicle stats. It is still unclear if Switch players will receive the announced Fast and Furious battle cars.

Nintendo Minute recently visited Psyonix headquarters to check out the Switch version and its new cars and features. You can watch that below:
