Final Fantasy Ultimania Will Cover Final Fantasy 1 – 6

Final Fantasy fans rejoice as English audiences will finally be able to join in on the wonder of Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive as Dark Horse is publishing English translations. The Ultimania series is far more than just art books or guides as it often contains interesting insight on the game’s development with notes and interviews. Dark Horse announced that these translations will focus exclusively on the Final Fantasy books. The publishing company added that they plan to bring over three volumes in total.

Dragon Quest Final Fantasy

The first book, known as Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive Volume 1, will feature “original concept art, process pieces, and notes from the original artists and designers”, and will cover the first six Final Fantasy games. It’s a meaty 336-page hardcover tome, and will cost $39.99 USD.

As for the other two volumes? Well, Volume 1 will take us through the classic Final Fantasy era, but Volume 2 will focus on the three PlayStation 1-era titles. Next, Volume 3 is another huge one as it covers Final Fantasy X to Final Fantasy XIV.

Preorder the book which is set to arrive on June 5th, 2018 to level up that hardcore trivia knowledge for the JRPG series.
