The Banner Saga 3 Key Art Has Been Revealed – Prepare for the Epic Viking RPG

Will We Get a Release Date Soon?

After years wandering a world where the sun is fixed, players will arrive at the end of The Banner Saga. The third installment to Stoic’s Fantasy series, The Banner Saga 3, reached its funding goals via Kickstarter; and to kick things off, they have revealed the key art for the game.

Banner Saga 3

Published by Versus Evil, The Banner Saga will maintain a hand-drawn aesthetic depicting the painstaking adventure of Viking nomads. Along with the usual cues and mechanics that we’ve come to enjoy, Stoic promises a story as compelling as the previous installments. Since Banner Sagas 1 and 2 showcased a people’s survival, the goal of this adventure is to wrap-up the individual narratives we’ve followed so far.

“The beautifully hand-drawn Viking role-playing adventure will once again test the player’s resolve through epic tactical battles against deadly adversaries, where a player’s choice directly affects their personal journey,” Versus Evil wrote, in a press release. “In Banner Saga 3 players will embark upon the final quest beyond the wall of Darkness to traverse a world unlike anything encountered previously. The compelling story-driven narrative will continue encouraging the character building and strategic aspects which were essential to The Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 popularity amongst fans. In Banner Saga 3 story secrets will be brought to light and character motives will be made clear, rounding out the saga in beautiful detail. The gods may be dead, but their godstones – their world – remain full of wonder.”

That’s all we have so far, but you can learn more about the game at Stoic’s new website: http://bannersaga.com/. As of yet, there’s been no release date announced. The current delivery goal is no later than December 2018. Since nothing is set in stone, you can check back for updates leading up to release.

Happy gaming.
