It’s Final Fantasy IX, Of Course
This year’s Tokyo Game Show came with an announcement from Square Enix involving the superior Final Fantasy game. As of right now, Final Fantasy IX is available on the PS4. It will be an upgraded version, no less.
Oh I’m sorry, were you under the impression that there was another Final Fantasy game that was somehow better than IX? I suppose not everyone was awoken to the uplifting, epic potential of video game storytelling through the timeless adventures of Zidane and his crew. Conversely, not everyone sunk hours of their lives into that ridiculous chocobo minigame in order to get… weapons? Cards? Access to a horrendous secret boss? It’s been a while.
The upgraded version comes with HD cut scenes, trophies, themes and boosters. The boosters are basically cheats that let you power through the game a little bit faster. Neat! You can get Final Fantasy IX at a discounted price for the next week on the PSN store. Also there’s a release trailer below.
