Strafe Getting a Huge Free Update

A Little Less Savage and a Lot More Fun

Did you play STRAFE? Did you hate it? Perhaps you found it too punishing, or too lacking in certain quality-of-life features? Well, good news! The team at Pixel Titans is slaving away at a huge free update for STRAFE, one which will surely change your opinion of the game, at least a little bit.

Strafe huge free update

The update, known as STRAFE: Millennium Edition, includes new game modes, new enemies, improved weapons, better AI and the ability to save your runs (though they can only be loaded once). You can also recover crashed runs, run into the travelling merchant and unlock 20 different game modifiers. Big head mode returns to us at last! What retro game is complete without the ability to balloon up people’s noggins to five times their original size?

The list of bug fixes is too numerous to include, but you can check it out on the game’s Kickstarter page. This enormous update has no concrete release date, though PC owners can get into the beta right now. There will be bugs of course, but isn’t that what beta testing is all about? I wanted to love this game so badly. The idea that some major fixes are inbound warms my blackened little heart.
