Resident Evil 7 DLC ‘Not a Hero’ Is Looking Good in New Gameplay Video

Chris Redfield Makes His Anticipated Return

Resident Evil 7’s free ‘Not a Hero’ expansion DLC won’t be out until December but new gameplay footage has been uncovered that shows fan-favorite Chris Redfield in action. You can watch the gameplay video below which takes place after the events of Resident Evil 7.

‘Not a Hero’ was originally planned to launch this past Spring when it was teased after the end credits of RE7. It’s since been revealed that it was delayed in order to “match the high quality of the main game,” according to RE7’s game director, Koshi Nakanishi. Almost one year later since RE7’s launch, ‘Not a Hero’ will release on December 12th alongside the Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition which also includes the ‘End of Zoe’ DLC. That one will allow players to find out what happened with the character of Zoe Baker, the daughter of the crazy Baker family and antagonists of the main game.

The Gold Edition will also throw in the two Banned Footage DLC packs and two more add-on packs, rounding out what sounds to be the complete RE7 package.

You can check out our original RE7 review here when it was published back in January. In short, we said “Resident Evil 7 biohazard isn’t without its flaws, but it’s absolutely the sequel that Capcom had to make in order to make the series relevant again. It features some fantastic scares early on, offers up the familiar gameplay that fans have been begging to return (even if the new ideas are even more exciting), and uses the first-person perspective to its advantage. Resident Evil is back, and the future is looking bright as long as it continues to evolve.”
