Horizon Zero Dawn Update 1.33 Is Here to Fix Game Issues

Fixes for Horizon Zero Dawn on September 18, 2017

Guerrilla Games has brought forth a series of fixes to correct issues resulting from the last patch of Horizon Zero Dawn. The critically-acclaimed game has seen plenty of additions and changes in the form of free updates, but it’s not without its kinks.

Horizon Zero Dawn faced issues, particularly, with New Game + and Ultra Hard Mode difficulty. You can find the patch notes for update 1.33 below. The full size is 309.6 MB.

NEW FEATURES
• Implemented an option to allow making a manual save from a previous Game when starting a New Game to avoid losing progress.
GENERAL FIXES
• Fixed an issue where for some players Tearblast Arrows incorrectly deal extra Tear damage on Ultra Hard.
• Fixed an issue where some players were able to reroll Special Modification Boxes by saving and reloading.

PROGRESSION ISSUES FIXES
• Fixed an issue in ‘The Womb of the Mountain’ when playing on Story difficulty where some players were able to kill the Corruptor outside of the gate, blocking progression because the player is not able to interact with it to continue the quest.

Before the time of this writing, however, Guerrilla Games updated their notes with the following message: “Unfortunately, patch 1.33 introduced a crash that would occur for certain players when trying to load a save where the player had an opened treasure box in their inventory containing a modification and other items. We are currently working on a fix for this issue.”

At the very least, it looks like devs caught on to the new issue quick. Let’s just hope there aren’t anymore as a result of the last update. But if any crashes occur, Guerrilla Games is asking players to load their last saves. If issues persist, they ask that you take a screenshot of your location and send it to them.

Horizon Zero Dawn is available for the PS4, and The Frozen Wilds DLC will be launching on November 7. Stay tuned for more updates as they come our way.
