Bring Your Own Platform to a Platformer with Light Fall

Teach The Oldest Dog a Brand New Trick on PC and Consoles Next Year

Bishop Games’ Light Fall is changing how platformers work, apparently. No longer will we have to rely on what’s available to leap upon, now you can use your own platform to get around. In addition to all of the other major systems, the upcoming indie title is also coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Light Fall

It seems like every day we’re learning about yet another kickass indie game finding a home on Nintendo’s newest system. Light Fall plunks you in the shadowy world of Numbra in order to save it from what’s almost certainly a beautifully-rendered threat. Using the Shadow Core, you can freely navigate the environment, making new paths and exploring wherever you feel like.

Presumably, the focus is on exploration and experience, although the presence of a speedrun suggests a healthy level of challenge as well. I mean, if you can make your own platform at will, the game must have to work pretty hard to trip you up. However Bishop Games chooses to accomplish this task, the trailer suggests it’ll look and feel pretty great, at least. Players will be able to experience Light Fall on PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch in March of 2018.
