Will New Games for the Nintendo Switch Be Announced?

This year’s E3 will definitely be a big show. Not only is this the year of the Scorpio and another year of great PlayStation games, this is the year of Nintendo Switch. Thus, we expect some interesting news at Nintendo’s presentation. Here is everything we know.

Guaranteed, Super Mario Odyssey will be a part of the presentation and previewed on the ground floor. For the first time, players will be able to play the next Super Mario game and it will be the focus.

Nintendo’s E3 booth will also include Nintendo Spotlight, a new annual video presentation. Along with that, We’ll see the return of Nintendo Treehouse live at E3, including tournaments for Splatoon 2, and Arms. You can watch them as they are livestreamed from June 13-15.

Furthermore, Nintendo promised details on new games coming this year. Whether new games will be announced, the company made no mention. We do know that Nintendo won’t hold it’s onstage press briefing, however. Considering they haven’t done so since 2012, there’s no telling when it might happen again.

Nintendo Switch My Body is Ready

In a prepared statement, President and COO of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, gave us an overview of what to expect:

“Our various E3 activities will showcase the next steps for Nintendo Switch, from a summer of social competitive gaming to a holiday season highlighted by a milestone Mario adventure. With Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3, fans at home can watch in-depth gameplay of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games launching this year.”

Nintendo will have its own dedicated livestream at this year’s E3. On June 13th, pre-qualifying players will showcase Splatoon 2 in The 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational. On June 14th, the 2017 Arms Open Invitational kicks off. Anyone can watch as players showcase Arms, the new fighting game for Nintendo Switch.
