Deus EX Composer Alexander Brandon Sparks Metroid Prime 4 Rumors around His Recent Move to Retro Studios

A recent FaceBook post cranked out by Deus EX composer Alexander Brandon has sent the Metroid Prime 4 rumors into overdrive once again, with his announcement that he has moved to Retro Studios to work on a top secret project for the time being. Brandon a huge fan of Metroid, so it’s not an out of the box assumption that he’s working on a new installment of the game.

Metroid Prime 4 Rumors

Retro Studios has been tinkering away on a new, top-secret project for some time now, which was started right before Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze came out in the beginning of 2014. Although the next Metroid title was originally supposed to be a Wii U release, Metroid Prime’s director, Kensuke Tanabe, stated it would most likely be releasing for Nintendo Switch. He also stated it would take about three years to complete, and it’s been just over three years since the secret game has been started.

Even though we want this to be proof of Metroid Prime 4‘s existence REALLY HARD, there’s still no 100% proof that a new Metroid is coming, but hey, we can dream. You can read the lengthy post from Brandon yourself in the post below!:

It’s very possible that we’ll be getting more news about the secret title with E3 coming up in a month, but we can only hope. Until then, we can only cling to rumors and hope that the announcements will be for a new Metroid title for the Nintendo Switch, and that a sweet new bundle will be coming along with it.
